How to stack PMD401 cards?

How do I stack the PMD401 for multiaxis functionality? Do you offer Microstacs?

  • Dear Amir.

The 401 driver can be stacked on top of each other. For the different connections, see attached image of the bottom side of the driver board. The black connector is the stacking connector (microstac ERNI 114711).

You can either use the power supply and com port to the left in the image or use a connector board (CB-PMD401), see image below. Through the microstac on the CB-PMD401 you will be able to get power and communicate with the driver (RS485).

Multiple cards can be RS485-chained for multi axis, see image below for a 3 axis setup:

Remember for each driver card you will need to attach motor cable/cables and if you are using a closed loop system, each card has a sensor input. The driver also has a limit switch input.

    Best regards
