Why PMD206 reports DriverErr?

PMD206 reports DriverErr on Ch:1 and stay on even after power off-on.
Other channels are OK.
Do you have any suggestion why this problem and how to clear?

Here is the status,
PM11CS?:0,a0 (DriverErr&Parked bits ON)
PM11CP?1d:0 (all Wfm point and voltages value = 0)

  • Hello Mr/Ms Wisawa,
This error indicates an amplifier or motor failure. You can disconnect the motor and see if the error goes away. You can verify motor by measuring resistance from each phase to Gnd.

  • Thanks for quick suggestion.
Switching the motor to another channel other than M1, then the motor works without error.
So it seems like amplifier failure, but is this hardware failure?
Is any chance to fix or recover?

  • Hello Misawa,
I assume the error on Ch1 is still ON? Then this is hardware failure and needs replacement of amplifier board. I will send email how to proceed.
